Rather than simply a large open refrigerator a multideck can be so much more. Need a night blind or shutter with lock? Got it covered. Worried about heat emissions from the equipment into your shop? We’ve got integral and remote multidecks available for all requirements. With so much choice, finding your perfect match has never been easier.

One of the vital areas to address when looking to purchase a multideck is the intended contents. While some businesses may be tempted to limit spending outlay and opt to purchase a single piece of equipment for all uses (if the unit chills then that’s good enough), this can in fact be a grave mistake to make. Each category of multideck has been specifically designed to excel at storing a certain type of food, each within its own recommended temperature range. Rather than combine dairy, meat and general purpose goods all in the same unit and risk calamitous food safety consequences it is vital to invest in quality equipment designed for each individual food group.

Food Standards Agency general guide temperature recommendations;

Fruit & Veg                          -       +2˚C to +7˚C     - Typically feature tilting shelves and baskets to optimise display.

Fresh Meat                        -       -2˚C to +4˚C      - Generally similar to general purpose however operate with a lower temperature range.

General Purpose/Dairy         -       +1˚C to +4˚C     - Ideal for salads, sandwiches, alcohol and dairy.

Although the individual equipment manufacturer’s temperature ranges may vary slightly this will only be by a degree or two either way however be safe in the knowledge that the equipment has been designed specifically for purpose.

Don’t compromise on food safety; make sure your multidecks are capable of delivering the best results for the task of hand.
