The DC100-60A Self Contained Classic Ice Maker uses the latest in spray technology to produce crystalline ice that is a longer lasting ice cube. This happens inside the machine where water is sprayed in to the ice cube moulds and frozen at sub zero temperatures. Once the ice cubes are frozen, water is sprayed over them that then freezes over and produces several layers of ice in a single ice cube. This is what allows the ice cubes to have a longer lasting life and why this machine is suitable for establishments such as bars and restaurants.
The unit itself has an outer exterior that is created using a catering grade stainless steel. This is due to the fact that as the unit is used over long periods of time, the machine will not suffer any rusting from the ice. The material also allows the unit to be easily maintained and easy to clean making it more hygienic. Along with this, the storage bin inside thats used to store all the ice is produced using a non-toxic antibacterial plastic that keeps the ice from being penetrated by bacteria. The added benifit of this is that it also adds an insulation barrier to keep the heat out of the machine to keep the ice at an optimum temperature while in storage.
