Freestanding Dishwashers
Freestanding dishwashers cannot be built-in and will not accept furniture door to match up with the rest of your kitchen. Most dishwashers are available in white, although some manufacturers offer Silver or a Stainless Steel finish to suit the requirements of more modern style kitchens.
If space is a problem then a 450mm or Slimline appliance may be a more suitable option. These slimline dishwashers have the capacity for up to 10 place settings and may be the only option if you have 500mm or less to play with.
The main point of consideration for dishwasher capacity is the number of place settings it can hold. This is the maximum number of plates, knives and forks the machine can wash in one go but, this does not include saucepans, serving dishes, cooking utensils etc.
